Yes, we now offer acrylic!!! I'm a massive advocate of nail health and have always been so anti-acrylic. Having met my new Pinkies recruit I've actually come to realise that like any treatment, correct applications and removals of any product do not damage the nail. I think over time and seeing so many horror stories with acrylic, I'd just resigned myself to the fact that nobody could apply it correctly and that damage was inevitable. Wrong!!!! The high street nail bars have very much given acrylic, and Shellac for that matter, a very bad name!

Yes, Christmas appointments are now open for Shellac manicures and Calgel overlays. As always, during our busiest time of year, we won't be offering gel tips. These will need to be booked the week before.

Please make sure you book up fast. I am always fully booked by September but the way its going, I could well be closing my Christmas diary by August this year!!

Im back from my weeks break in Lanzarote. Nice relaxing time with lots and lots of laughter, courtesy of my 'dippy' teenage daughter.

I did a naughty thing and picked off my beautiful Wildfire Shellac nails on day two! I managed to chip one playing tennis on the beach and i just got carried away!! I now have lovely natural nails that have benefited from the sunshine. My Shellac toes are still in tact as are my Swarovski gems!

Prom season has been so busy this year. As always, Pinkies prom girl have had long stiletto nails in lots of various bright colours. I've still got Alderbrook prom girls left for this coming week (my daughter included!) so looking forward to all the preparations.

Looks like Spring is on it's way.....at long last! Valentines day was a busy time of Shellac Wildfire (red) and Shellac Rock Star. There are some very lucky ladies out there.

The new Shellac colour range has been launched and I'm a little disappointed. It seems they decided on very sickly colours that I can't market and would be a poor investment. I have however bought the only colour that looked nice. It's called Shellac Sultry Sunset. It's a really pretty pink and I've done lots of nails this week in it :-)

January is nearly behind us. Thank heavens I hear you say! Its been a great time for me to catch up with friends and house hold jobs. I generally enjoy a quiet month after the Christmas madness so my batteries will be fully charged and ready to take on 2014!

For Pinkies there have been a few more bridal parties booked in for this year. Ive also had three Pinkies ladies return to me from my early days. With two babies arriving this year and two 'Pinkies' weddings, its going to be a very exciting time. Gosh, you Pink Ladies have been busy!!
