What a fab start to April! Last week I smashed a new record. 60% of my calls were all new business from either recommendations or through here, my website! I met a lot of lovely new people including brides, lucky Moms with Mothers Day vouchers and ladies who fancied a treat. So, thank you everyone for choosing Pinkies Gel Nails
As we ease into April the bridal season really starts to kick off. I've lots of very organised brides booking in advance. Looks like Autumn is the chosen season this year. I have to say, I think Autumn/Winter is my favourite time of year. I had a dusk wedding on a bonfire night (in the Scottish Highlands) so the lighting was perfect, weather faultless and the scenery breath taking! Im looking forward to meeting all my new brides and reliving my wedding excitement with them, yet another hi-light of my work. I also have two very good friends marrying too so I am in the midst of wedding plans, colour schemes and of course....nail colours!
Shellac have done well with the new nude colours but again I'm seeing brides opting for the colour theme of the wedding on their nails. I'm delighted that my brides last week went all out and had vivid colours. One opted for Tutti Frutti Shellac (pink) and the other went from Rock Royalty (purple) Not a French Manicure in site :-)
Whats else is new? Paula is certainly getting busier with Calgel overlays. She has seen an increase in her Shellac calls but there are still a lot of you ladies that do prefer the gel option. I personally love either.
Still pondering on our summer holiday location. As long as its hot, sunny, relaxed and I'm with my family, who cares where we end up. I doubt New York in November will be hot so I plan to make the most of the suns rays!! Im so excited for our NYC trip...we adore New York so reliving our honeymoon with family will be amazing. Just over 7 months...and counting!
And finally, massive congratulations to a good friend (who started out as a Pink Lady) and her husband for the safe arrival of their second baby. A beautiful 7lb 2oz blue bundle born on Saturday. A healthy addition and brother to their 18 month old daughter. I wish them health and easy times ahead. xxx

I was let down at the last minute by a local nail technician and called Pinkies. Kirsty changed her day to accomodate us and we now have THE MOST AMAZING NAILS! I realise now that I should certainly do more research in future. Pinkies really are the best, thank goodness I googled you! My nails look perfect for my wedding tomorrow.
