Well I managed to get online to the Shellac stockist and get the new colours before they were out of stock! They are lush and I look forward to trying them out.

My beauty room (the new venture) is all going to plan and I am on target for my planned opening.....well, I am at the moment! I am currently still trying to find a qualified beauty therapist. If you know of anyone fitting that title that wants to work in a brand new beauty room, within a very high standard hotel, please get them to call me.

The end is in sight now for my new business venture. I plan a 1st October launch day. As I have mentioned, it is a brand new room within a hotel (still hush hush until I sign on the dotted line next week) It will be offering gel sculpting, gel overlays, Shellac Manicures, massages, facials, waxing, bridal make-up and hair and reflexology.

September is days away and the weather reports tell us summer is over, but it has been a busy summer for Pinkies. One great thing about September is the launch of Shellacs new colours on the 19th. I am looking forward to ordering those :-)

I have extended the shellac manicure and shellac foot offer through to the end of September too, lots of new ladies do take advantage of it.

Just thought I'd let you into a little bit of news. It seems that a poor lady in Saint Louis, US has been struggling with an acrylic horror story of her own. Like the blog I wrote about my customer 'Nettie' (see link below) she had a terrible experience with an acrylic nail bar which left her nails in a terrible old state. She left a review of the salon online at YellowPages and as part of her review, noted that she had come across 'Nettie's story too when researching how to get her nails back in shape.

Pinkies Gel Nails has taken a well earned mini break in Devon. I have spent four days with my best friend chilling and recharging my batteries. The weather has been fab and the cream tea's have been consumed in vast quanities!

Worringly, I am now getting bookings for Christmas......yes, Christmas! Last year was so busy, I am reminding everyone to book early to avoid disappointment. Thankfully I have Natasha to lend a helping hand this year :-)

I have had a bad start to the week. I sprained my finger on my right hand at the weekend and it left me unable to work until today. Guess what happened?? I pulled my finger again carrying my huge heavy bag and I am now home again nursing a strapped up finger :-(

The end of a manic July for Pinkies Gel Nails. I have been kept very busy with wedding parties. This week alone I have done three, all having the infamous Shellac Manicures! One of these bridal parties was an Asian Bride whose mum
made the most amazing coconut sweets....suffice to say I didn't refuse the offering, as coconut is one of my favourite flavours. I had a great time with all the girls at all three parties.
