Christmas Fever

Submitted by Kirsty on

Hi everyone

Just a short note to remind you all of your Christmas appointments. Shellac manicures has been bigger than I could ever have imagined and because of that my Christmas appointments are filling up very quickly. Please don't be disappointed and book up now.

I have also noticed that some of you are still being fooled into having 'gel acrylic nails'. Be careful with the nails bars you visit. Gel IS NOT POWDER FORM that is acrylic!!!! I am amazed how these so called nail technicians are getting away with it.

November

Hi Everyone

The start of November saw my first wedding anniversary on the 5th so a night in a castle then a trip to Oxford shopping was the perfect celebration. A family dinner with fireworks finished off a brilliant weekend.

Pinkies Gel Nails is still busy with Shellac Manicures. I now have the new winter colour, Fedora, in stock. This is a very dark brownish purple and looks fab on short nails. Don't forget that we still offer gel nails and gel toes.

October Ends

Hi Everyone

What a busy month end.

Pinkies Gel Nails is getting lots of enquiries for gel arcylic nails and acrylic nails. Gel and acrylic nails are completely different procedures and products and should not be compared. As I have pointed out in previous blogs, acrylic will damage your nails both short and long term - FACT!! Gels is a much kinder procedure for your nails and does promote a healthy nail growth. Sadly, lots of ladies are given false information and are being told they are having gel acrylic nails but this treatment does not exist. Its either gel or acrylic.

October Update

Hi Everyone,

Personally, what a sad start to the month. We said our final farewell to my dear father in law on 8th but his funeral service was everything he had asked for. It was a truly wonderful send off for him and I know he would have been really proud of his family that day. I will miss him very very much.

As we all know, reality has a habit of kicking in and we all have to find that normality again. Pinkies clients have all been so understanding and now I face a busy week catching up on infils, shellac manicures and manicures.

Area Expansion

Submitted by Kirsty on

Hi everyone,

Its been a busy time for me and Natasha. We have been busy with Asian wedding parties and manicures along with the ever increasing enquiries for Shellac manicures.

Pinkies Gel Nails is now expanding the area due to the sad goodbye to Natasha. She is still my 'right hand girl' with Pinkies but she has moved house with her family from Solihull to Callow Hill in Redditch. This means that her area will now stretch further a field. Check out the home page for these area's as they are added.

SHELLAC Mania!!!

Submitted by Kirsty on

Hi all,

Starting this week is Shellac manicure mania!! I have done 4 shellac manicures today and have more booked in for the rest of the week. I have just ordered in some new stock and added a beautiful hot pink to the colour collection. It only takes an hour to do, is the same price as my gel treatments and is getting a very positive response from everyone that has tried it.

Weekly Update

Hi everyone,

Whats new with Pinkies Gel Nails?

On a personal note (in one week) I have taken 2 trips to Devon, spent an hour on the hard shoulder of the M5 with the sign for Devon in view, travelled home on a low loader for one of the return journeys, but made one successful journey there and back and spent a day with my friend, had a family BBQ in Stratford and ate prawns and steak and finally had my new kitchen finished but was left without hot water which I managed to fix myself!!!!! Just another week with Pinkies.

Pinkies Press Release in The Solihull News

Submitted by Kirsty on

Hi,

I recently visited the beauty editor of the Solihull News for a treatment and this is what she had to say about Shellac with Pinkies Gel Nails:

Nailing down the hybrid colours

The beauty world has seen manicures, acrylic and gel nails and now Shellac, the first hybrid nail colour, has hit our shores.

Applied like polish, it wears flawlessly for at least seven - and often up to 14 - days of high-gloss shine, and is removed in minutes.

Now, I have tried them all and fab nails and I don’t always seem to gel - excuse the pun!
