Manicure With a Difference

Submitted by Kirsty on

Hi everyone,

I started the week with a fall. Thankfully there were no broken bones but I do ache from head to toe! That will teach me to walk on wet grass instead of the path!

For those of you that are existing Pinkies clients you will be familiar with all my different treatments. Pinkies offers Shellac, NSI Gel, Manicures and Pedicures. What Pinkies Gel Nails doesn't offer is a manicure that is exactly that but with a slight twist.

Appointment with a Difference!

Hi everyone,

Today bought Pinkie Gel Nails an appointment with a whole new meaning.

One of my regular customers lives out in the country so its lovely visiting her. When I got there today to re-do her Shellacs her electric gates were not working. She told me the power was off throughout the whole house (I need power for the Shellac Lamp) so I needed to go through the back way, which I did. She was delighted to tell me that we could go around to her neighbours who had her house powered by their emergency generator.

Wedding Fever

Hi Everyone,

It seems that Shellac is proving a massive success with brides. I recently did a couple of bridal parties at the end of 2010. They all opted for Shellac as it was a new product and the two brides in question have recommended it to their friends and Pinkies Gel Nails now has three large bridal parties confirmed for this year. Its all so exciting.

January Update

Submitted by Kirsty on

Hi Everyone,

I have had a busy week and am now looking forward to a weekend in Devon where I can chill and spend time with a dear friend.

Pinkies Gel Nails is still busy with new customers calling for Shellac Manicures and I am still eagerly hoping that Shellac release their twelve new colours before the release date on 1st March although I very much doubt it.

I have booked my holidays for June so I think I may be on a countdown very soon. I am starting to look forward to the Spring and all the beautiful spring flowers.

Happy New Year

Hi everyone,

Happy New Year to you all. I hope that 2011 is a healthy year for you filled up with many happy memories.

I have had a fab break spending time with family and generally catching up on some rest!

Shellac lasting results

Submitted by Kirsty on

Hi everyone,

This is a picture I took yesterday of one of my customers who had this Shellac manicure 3 weeks ago. I think this photo in itself proves that Shellac lasts without fading, chipping or lifting better than any other product I have ever worked with.

Shellac manicure - 3 weeks growth

I will point out the only unavoidable downside of having a colour Shellac is the regrowth you can see around the cuticle area. But... I can let you into a secret of how to get around that...

9 Days To Go!!!!!!

Submitted by Kirsty on

Hi everyone,

Only 9 days left until that bit chubby guy dressed in red brings us our well deserved diamonds, furs and chocolates...well, maybe in Hollywood!!!

I am now officially booked up this side of Christmas so apologies to anyone hoping to get their nails done. Please, by all means call me and check to see if I have had any last minute cancellations.

I have read that Shellac will be launching some new colours for the New Year so I am really looking forward to adding more colours to my stock.

December Update

Submitted by Kirsty on

Hi everyone

How cold is this weather??? I hate being cold and its certainly no fun defrosting my car in the morning either! On the plus side, Pinkies gel nails is still very busy with the build up to Christmas.

X Factor is coming to an end and I am sad that I won't be able to see what colours Cheryl is sporting along with the contestants. My very good friend in London is in charge of their shellac manicures so its great to see his work on the TV.

December Appointments

Submitted by Kirsty on

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick note to remind everyone that hasn't booked their December appointment to do so as soon as possible.

As Shellac manicures have become more favourable that gels and word is spreading, I now have very limited appointments left so please call and check. Its looking like Pinkies Gel Nails is going to have a very busy end to 2010. I have to say I am looking forward to 2011, this year has bought far too much heartache for my family and a fresh year means a fresh start.

Christmas Fever

Hi everyone

Just a short note to remind you all of your Christmas appointments. Shellac manicures has been bigger than I could ever have imagined and because of that my Christmas appointments are filling up very quickly. Please don't be disappointed and book up now.

I have also noticed that some of you are still being fooled into having 'gel acrylic nails'. Be careful with the nails bars you visit. Gel IS NOT POWDER FORM that is acrylic!!!! I am amazed how these so called nail technicians are getting away with it.
